Yesterday we visited the new Harps here in Siloam Springs. We were really impressed. It is really nice to have a clean updated grocery store here in town. I was even more excited when I saw that they also double coupons that are $.50 or less. We went back this evening and this time we brought my coupons. Such great deals! By matching coupons and their %20 off meat sale we were able to get lunch meat for close to $2.00 a pound! We also go sour cream for $.98, it wasn't even on sale, and chocolate chex mix for $.68. We got coffee mate for $.98. We got 16oz of rice for FREE, and second one for $.30. I am so happy we ever finally got a store in town that DOUBLES COUPONS! It is amazing.
Also this evening we steamed some of the asparagus we got for under $2.00 a pound yesterday. I pressed a clove of fresh garlic into a sauce pan and mixed it with a tbspn of butter and some olive oil. After the garlic started to brown I squeezed some fresh lemon in. Then I drizzled it over the steamed asparagus. The garlic pieces soak up the lemon and it tastes AMAZING! Arielle took some of the french bread we got from harps, for $.50!, and buttered it, covered it in cheese, and put it in the oven. We also made some Pasta Roni shells and white sauce. It was really refreshing to cook a fun meal together!
So total cost of the meal? Pasta Roni $.92, Asparagus $.25- we only had 8 stalks, French Bread $.18, Milk $.15, Lemon $.15, Butter $.20, Cheese $.15.
Total Cost: $2.00, right on budget!

Hey I just figured out why Price Cutter didn't double coupons. I was reading Passionforsavings' blog post about Harp's coupon policy and basically HARPS doubles coupons, but PRICE CUTTER does not. So now that it's officially Harps, we're good to go!!
